Why some insects migrate? How migratory behaviour has evolved? How species disperse? What geographical ranges temporary inhabit? I combine population genetics, phylogeography, genomics, behavioral tests, ecological niche modelling and fieldwork to study insect migration and dispersal: the evolution of migration, the ecology of long-range movements, tracking migratory routes and mapping genetic diversity across space. I am currently a Ramón y Cajal Researcher at the Botanical Institute of Barcelona (CSIC), and I am also a Research Associate at the Museum of Comparative Zoology (MCZ), Harvard University, USA, and a National Geographic Explorer.
